In the final week of January, the FUJIFILM MicroChannel leadership team attended the Sage APAC Partner Executive Forum in Kuala Lumpur. The forum brought together Sage leaders and partner executives from across the Asia Pacific region to align on strategy, innovation, and the future of Sage’s partner‑led ecosystem.

The event provided a valuable opportunity to connect with Sage leadership and peers, with practical discussions focused on AI, cloud transformation, and how partners and Sage can collectively deliver greater value for customers in an increasingly complex operating environment.

Practical, Transparent and Trustworthy AI in Finance

AI was a strong and consistent theme throughout the forum, with particular emphasis on Sage Intacct, alongside early insight into Sage X3 Cloud.

Sage provided compelling demonstrations of Sage Copilot and their Close Agent, Time Agent, Financial Assurance Agent, AP Agent, and Finance Intelligence Agent within Sage Intacct, with their Finance Intelligence Agent being the most outstanding first-party AI agent seen by our attendees. When considered alongside the forthcoming Agent Builder and MCP Server, FUJIFILM MicroChannel believes Sage Intacct is setting a new benchmark in delivering real, measurable outcomes from AI.

“So many organisations hear about the benefits of AI but are struggling to find the use cases in their organisations to deliver these benefits. With Intacct, Sage is now demonstrably delivering superlative AI-powered efficiencies, accuracy and insights to finance teams with unrivalled transparency and auditability; real operational value from AI and not just theoretical benefits.”
Adair Durie, Sales Director at FUJIFILM MicroChannel

This progress was reinforced by Sage, highlighting the strength of the partnership and the pace of innovation centred on Sage Intacct.

“FUJIFILM MicroChannel continues to be a trusted and strategic partner for Sage across the ANZ region, with Sage Intacct at the centre of our joint innovation. What’s particularly compelling about Intacct’s direction is the advancement of our existing AI‑led finance capabilities.”
Robert Hanson, Account Executive APAC at Sage

Sage X3 Cloud – A Real and Soon‑to‑Be‑Delivered Commitment to the Future of Sage X3

Sage delivered a clear and near-term commitment to the future of Sage X3 with the progression of Sage X3 Cloud. Sage X3 Cloud is already in implementation with customers in the UK, with an APAC release planned ahead of the second half of calendar year 2026.

For existing Sage X3 customers, and many Sage 300 customers evaluating their next phase, Sage X3 Cloud represents a significant and welcome evolution. Key attributes include:

  • Multi tenanted architecture
  • Vendor hosted deployment
  • Feature parity with the current on premise version
  • Similar or greater levels of functionality and integration flexibility
  • AI capabilities aligned with Sage Intacct, including Sage Copilot and the MCP Server

The FUJIFILM MicroChannel team returned from the forum extremely excited by the clarity of Sage’s roadmap and the tangible progress behind Sage X3 Cloud. FUJIFILM MicroChannel looks forward to accessing demonstration environments to showcase these capabilities to both internal teams and customers.

For modern manufacturing, distribution and service organisations across APAC, Sage X3 Cloud represents a highly compelling next step in the evolution of the Sage X3 platform. Watch this space!
